Famous words, can I borrow? They are indeed famous words and there is no one in this day and age that hasn't heard them, said them or thought them. Admit it you have.see I was right!
At our house we borrow lots of things and we lend lots of things. No, we don't operate a pawnshop; though sometimes it might seem that way. I have borrowed clothes from my sister, a saw from my neighbor and paper from my nephew. The computer I typed this on was borrowed from my brother in law since mine is being upgraded.
My sister borrows things like ink pens, movies and ball caps; she has always been a little strange. My brother-in-law borrows fishing poles, cigarettes and tools. My nephew borrows, well, the same thing my grown son borrows.money! Friends borrow videos, DVD's, money, bb-q grills and ice chests. Oh, and hunting dogs, well we do live in the south!
We pawn things to borrow money, which we then lend to whoever happens to need it worse. We can go to any of our friend's houses and see six things we've loaned; they come here and see five we borrowed. We are a very generous group, friends, family; people we've adopted and who have adopted us, considering the fact that none of us have much. We share what we do have, whether we need it or not.
Sometimes we give things back, mostly we don't. Once in awhile we get back what we loaned, mostly we don't. Usually we get things back only after they break or quit. You know that feeling too? For a while after that we stick to a universal rule.we aren't loaning anything to anybody anymore. Famous last words indeed!
