Don't Rock The Boat!

You asked me,
"Are you happy?"
And I was.

But, since you asked me
I've been thinking.
My mind's going 'round and 'round.

Was I happy? or
Did I fool myself
Into thinking that I was?

Ask again.
"Are you content?"
Yes, once I was
But you've made a difference,
By your asking, in my thinking.

Now, I'm not content.
Now I'm searching
For some new meaning
To my life.

This is an interesting poem! Happiness can be a fragile thing, I agree. I think the best (perhaps only) way of attaining 'meaning in life' is to make other people happy.

Its true when someone makes a statement good or bad we set our mind in a is it or isnt it and make certain decisions all because of a comment. good poem
