Along the road, I travelled at the speed of light,
When two green eyes, came at me,
And both of us took fright,
A scream and screech then followed,
And I alighted from the car,
There lay Poor Old Tom, my neighbours cat,
Embedded in the tar,
Well no one could have heard the thump,
For I was quite alone,
But guilt soon overcame me,
How could now I atone?
Then mothers words of wisdom
Came drfiting on the breeze,
Kinda Spooky, I thought,as
I could almost hear her wheeze.
So I scaped poor Tom from the tarmac,
With an old and broken tile,
I lit myself a cigarette,
and pondered for a while,
Across the court my backhands
now have power pace and swerve,
My opponents never knew the truth
And I never had the nerve,
But I especially like my headcovers,
and even more the fur
But one with tails, my favourite
And that.. my friends concur.
