If you kick, punch, slap or hit
Pull hair, bite and shout bad names,
Or tease, make fun, ignore-even a bit,
Or don't let others join in games
If you laugh at the colour of skin
Or giggle at those less able,
If you are nasty, horrible and mean
You should wear a label
That says you are a BULLY!!!!!
At home, at play by day and night
In letters all can see
The label should be pinned on tight
How brave you'd need to be!
People would laugh to see the tag
Poke fun and not come near
Behind your back they'd make a gag
...It's you who'd start to fear
But why are you a bully? Tell,
Do you enjoy being ugly and bad?
And making others hate you as well?
Well, if you do, then that is sad
If you were nice...imagine now...
If smiles and kindness shone
A happy face...do you know how?
If you did, the label would be gone
Instead of calling out bad names
You could say 'Hello'
Soon others would gladly do the same
To you, you know
And snarly, growly, ugly pouts
Could become a happy grin
Soon you'd hear the friendly shouts
Of 'Hiya, come and join in'
No matter if you're big or small
Red-skinned, black or white
Life can really be a ball
When you live it right
Get up tomorrow and start anew
Be nice and be polite
Others will treat you that way too
It's better than starting a fight
Be helpful if and when you can
Not laugh at those less able
Treat every child and woman and man
With respect - take off that label
And soon the world will start to seem
A much, much better place
One where you have joined the team
That is the Human Race
But if you're happy being bad
And don't wish to amend
Then I am really, REALLY glad
That you are not MY friend!
