You pushed me, You shoved me
You treated me like dirt
But I was there for you
You hit me, for no reason
You inflicted pain, both mental and physical
But I was there for you
You called me names and degraded me
You did things to me, I ask you not to do
But I was there for you
You took away all my reasons for living
You made me feel unwanted, an outcast
But I was there for you
And every night I slept with my eyes open
Afraid, of what you would do to me
But still, I was there for you
But tonight, it was different
You came home drunk, beat me, hurt me
Threw me on the floor and raped me
But you won't hurt me anymore
You should have never fallen asleep
Tonight, is my night
As I drove the knife deep into his body
Time and time again
For once I felt good about myself
Standing there, smoking a cigarette
Relaxed, no longer scared
I know I had to save myself
I'm still here
But you will never hurt me again]
Tonight I made peace with myself
