You deserve to be treated with 'my all'
Which I gave to another that didn't deserve it.
Yet I seem to deprive you of it. 
It's not fair on you, how I am.
I know what being in your shoes feels like. 

It can be frustrating trying to hang on...
To something that is only half there, 
Patiently waiting for those moments,
That you oh so love and adore.

Believe me I have been there before.
It is damaging and you are right,
If we are going to do this,
We've got to do it right.

Honesty is where it begins.
I don't deserve you yet I want more.
You deserve more than I am willing to give.

I can really relate to this poem, knowing that someone wants you more than you want them and demanding more than you can give (or are willing to!)
