I Tried To Write You A Little Song

Well, I tried to write you a little song
Scribbled down some frenzied lines
But I couldn't move it along
Because it sounded really wrong
I couldn't even find any suitable rhymes

Then I knew it was just like me and you
In all the years we've had
The pain you've put me through
Those mean little things you do
And yet I never really thought you were bad

But now I'm walking out the door
I'm going to do some travelling around
You won't be in my face any more
Or leave me rooted to the floor
I'm going to see places where I'll never be found
