Hi Debbie,
A poem that touches my heart, with words and feelings i recognise.
My eldest son now 23 and soon to leave home, my 21 year old son away for work and my daughter, leah who at 18 is at university (but still my baby). How fast the years pass and the memories so precious. Thankfully the stairs aren't too steep yet! lol. I remember being 19 and thinking 40 was old!
Lovely poem from the heart.

Thank you Ruby, I'm glad you recognised and felt the words in my poem, It's a sad fact of life but we will all be old one day and have our memories to hold on to.

A really lovely poem and has already been said a sad reminder that we are all going to end up in the same way and so I suppose we really have to enjoy our good moments while we can and be strong for what is to come.

Thankyou , keep young while we can that seems to be the key. But then again I guess I would still be a big kid when I reach the age of ninety!

This is a really lovely poem....I can almost see all the scenes, events happy times and sad happening, like flashes of memories....
And although it does remind us that we will all grow old...its still has a kinda warming affect, knowing that oneday I will have all those memories to look back on!!!!!
Lovely

This is so bittersweet.
Makes me hope that in about 40 years time, I can look back at the life I've lived.
Amazed at what I've achieved, just as warmed by the fire as I am at age 18 but also with just enough time to reflect on where time went.
